EMS is a community focussed facility and room hire company which focusses on provided expert services for community spaces, schools and local businesses.

Evolution Management Solutions (EMS) was established in 2018 following a pressing need in the local community of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. A local community building was facing challenges to continue operating at a high level within budget constraints. Mark Graham, with extensive experience in room hire and facilities management, saw an opportunity to make a difference. With a vision to provide a continued high level service, Mark left his well-established job at a large company and founded EMS Ltd.

Since then, EMS has been dedicated to helping organisations achieve their full potential. By providing facilities management, hiring space in addition to excellent customer service, EMS enables buildings to operate and grow during difficult times. EMS is driven by a commitment to professionalism, transparency, and customer satisfaction.

EMS helps buildings move forward with more control over operations, including contracting, staffing, and financial management.

My Story

My name is Mark Graham, and I am the Managing Director and founder of Evolution Management Solutions. My journey in the facilities management industry started as a part-time worker at a local community building where I was the front line of customer service. However, my journey into FM within the community accelerated when I was approached to help turn around a struggling building in the North East. With my experience in room hire, marketing, event management, and staffing, we were able to create a successful marketing campaign and turn the building around.

Fast forward several years, and I found myself as the manager of several buildings and school lettings. I realised that a more bespoke solution was required to help a specific community building grow. This was the inspiration I needed to start my own business, EMS.

Starting EMS from scratch was not without its challenges, as I had to become an expert in aspects of facilities management that were unfamiliar to me. However, the experience helped me grow and five years later, I am proud to say that our main client is doing excellent, and the future looks bright.

What sets EMS apart from other facilities management companies is our customer service and our willingness to go the extra mile. Customer service is often lacking in many industries today, but we believe that it is essential.

For anyone starting their own business in the facilities management industry, my advice would be to keep consistent with your message and delivery. Consistency and hard work lead to success.

I have been running children’s birthday parties at GPCC since January 2016, shortly after this Mark took over full management of the centre and since then I’ve seen my bookings rocket over all sectors.
